7 months
I can't believe it's 7 months already but at the same time I can. It doesn't feel like I just had her yesterday anymore. She isn't a newborn. I don't worry about night feedings and haven't since 10 weeks old (angel baby). She is putting on baby fat and sitting up better everyday. I can't help but have this weird feeling about 7 months though. Its the month where things start to change...maybe crawling begins or a tooth pops up. I can see it happening already. She has been squealing the past 2 days. It's loud too. I could have sworn I had already put her in a box and labeled her my quiet child. What's happening!!! I am happy to see her little personality emerge but I feel a small ache that we are turning a corner and I can't put on the brakes. 4-6 months has been blissful. Heck, the whole 7 months has been blissful for me and to use the word bliss in the same sentence as baby is something I never thougth I'd say. When I went through post-partum depression after Claire I didn't get to connect to such emotions as joy and bliss for almost the first whole year. When I would tell other moms what I felt they would feel sorry for me and in my mind I thought they were just being crazy or fake saying things were so great. Who the hell likes a crying up at night newborn. Well, no one does really but the fact is you can still feel happy emotions throughout it all and this time I have that. It feels good and it makes me really not want her to turn any corner or stop being my little baby. I know it's selfish but I promise to put her down once in awhile so she can learn to crawl. Maybe.

Game day girls
Sunday football in the hiz-ouse! The girls sportin their Cardinals shirts from Old Navy (the softest shirt i have ever felt! no lie). Claire, of course, tackling her sister. Paige giving a little "look" while being knocked over. Paige was either very into watching her Daddy or watching the game. Both very entertaining. She loves to stare at Eric. He's the family novelty!
Although I am not a huge football fan, I do love football snacks, bloody marys, cold beer, and just chillin with the fam. I can't believe fall is beginning already. The TV shows come back on, the weather is starting to cool down (only in the morning but it's a start), and maybe in about 2 months we will be able to wear a cardigan (layerd b/c by lunch i still am hot even in november).

Eric's BFF visit
Eric's bff, Bill and his wife Margaret, came to AZ from San Antonio last week. We had a nice visit and a little birthday get together for Bill last weekend. Good times were indeed had by all. We even got a babysitter for the second time in 4 years (one you pay, not family). Woohoo!!
In other summer fun, we have been swimming in our pool! Did I mention Eric bought a 10ft blow up pool for the backyard? Um, yah, he did. At first it freaked me out that this "thing" was in our backyard but we have had some good times in that pool this summer. We put Paige in a few weeks ago and this baby gives new meaning to the word chill. We thought for a minute she was going to fall asleep in her float. Good times!

Prayer Chain
I have 2 prayer request.
First, Baby Braelynn. My friend Jason from college posted on facebook that his little niece was born very premature at only 13 ounces last Tuesday. Baby Brae is a fighter and such an inspiration. She touched my heart when I saw her pictures. I hope to help keep up the prayer chain for this sweet baby girl.
Jason wrote this today....
Also, for the fires that are burning out of control in Texas. So may people have lost their homes and so many more are living in fear and uncertainty. Many have evacuated the area and don't know if they will have anything left to return to. My brother and his family have a house in Bastrop but currently live in La Grange, TX (not far from the Austin area). Both areas are fighting fires right now. So far they are okay and have not had to evacuate. Sending prayers and love to the Texas area. Wishing I could do more.

Please pray for Braelynn like never before. God will know what you're referring to. God bless this child and her family. Heal her and comfort her. I pray your will be done. Give Brent and Amanda clarity, the storm they are in just got a lot more complicated. Please we need your prayer support. Fast and furious.

Pretty playing girl
Just a few shots of my pretty girl Paige playing and practicing her sitting up. Such a dream baby. That's all I can say. Lucky lucky lucky.
Happy Labor Day weekend. We are just chilling in our "pool" this weekend and grilling some hot dogs while drinking a beer. Not much to report!
