Giggles

Oh little Claire Bear, you are so silly. There is one thing we are never short of each day and that's giggles. Claire has this laugh that she does like she's thinking of an inside joke. It's totally fake but hilarious. I'll take any laugh...real or fake. It's all funny to me!

Easter warm up

Our neighborhood park had an Easter egg hunt Saturday morning. So crazy and chaotic but good times. A few elbow jabs and a good right hook and any kid could get some eggs! Luckily Dad braved the egg "hunters" and helped square off an area to gather goodies. Seriously, the parents were more competitive than the kids. Insane. We went with our next door neighbors and we were standing together until we heard "READY, GET SET, GOOO!!!" and bam...we lost them in a flash. Luckily we found each other back at our strollers.

After our Friday night happy hour, I was hoping this church sponsored event would have a free bloody mary stand next to the free coffee and donuts but no such luck. Sunglasses please!

Spring Break

We had a fun spring break week free of toddler activities!! Grandma came to visit. Aunt Carolyn was also in town. The weather was nice and it was overall a wonderful week. The only problem was that it went by too fast!

We celebrated mom's 62nd birthday while she was here and as soon as Claire realized there would be cake it was all she could think about. She gave me her best cheesy smile while digging into her molten chocolate cake with ice cream! She was such a good girl staying up late partying with us. We also went to the zoo....big mistake on spring break but at least she saw the goats which she loves. We enjoyed lots of eating outdoors(complete with eye roll when I wanted to take a pic....ugh, and so it begins!).

Boy does she like to sing

Claire LOVES to sing these days. She walks around singing, she sings in the car, she sings on the countertops (it's true, we let her stand on our counters sometimes!! we rock!). She makes up songs, she sings parts of songs she knows, she mixes it up.

It wasn't the trip we planned but at least we were able to spend some time together even if it was brief. The girls got to play at Grandmom's (that's what Claire calls her) and have some time together. We met up with Jason, Tana, and Cy on Saturday before we left town. We went to our ranch in La Grange, TX (yes, everyone is TX has a ranch! haha!). Claire LOVED the cows and riding the four wheeler. Saturday would have been my dad's 66th birthday so it was nice to be at the ranch where we spent so many weekends as a family. Happy Birthday Dad! Life sure has changed a lot but we know you are celebrating with us!
